I’m excited to be doing this! This past week marked two years that I’ve been writing this thing, and I’d been tossing around the idea of moving to WordPress and trying to become one of those serious blogger/writer people for a while, but change gives me hives.
But one thing led to another and here we are! I am awful at webby, coding, design, HTML anything involving more than a few clicks, but it was pretty painless, and I’m eager to add more functionality to the site (featured posts, categories, etc.) and hopefully have some increased interaction with both of my readers. We shall see how it all goes, but the ultimate goal is to move away from the blog-style-single-feed-of-posts format to a more magazine-like layout with sections and features and all the rest.
One thing to be aware of is our Russian Symphony Series that started just this week. Last year around this time (and then again earlier this year), we had our German(ic) Symphony series, stretching from Beethoven all the way through to Schoenberg, and while it was far from comprehensive, I enjoyed it, so 100 years of Russian classical music history will be getting the same treatment, and that’ll take us through to the end of the year!
I’m hoping to start having more interviews, guest writers, and all the rest, so stay tuned and/or get in touch!
