Music Lectures: S4

Lectures for Season 4 are completed. It’s shocking and delightful that these sessions have continued long after lockdowns and pandemic were over, but it has become a richly rewarding hobby to plan, prepare, and present these things for the small groups that consistently join and listen. At the time of this writing, I have concrete schedules/curricula for entire seasons scheduled out past 2031…

But below were the lessons for Season 4:

  6. Feb 1:  Brahms Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77
  7. Mar 1: Dvorak String Quartet No. 12 in F major, Op. 96, ‘American’
  8. Mar 29: Sibelius Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 43
  9. Apr 26: Mahler Symphony no. 5 
  10. May 24: Shostakovich String Quartets no. 7 and 8
  11. June 21: Beethoven Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92
  12. July 19: Wagner’s Faust Overture and Beethoven Symphony No. 8 in F, Op. 93
  13. Aug 16: Beethoven Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, ‘Choral’
